...Just for fun . I’m not trying to say anything about the production Supra, though I bet it’s a design that looks better in person.

I really like it.
Hot take: Replacement parts for certain BMW four and six cylinder engines just got a lot cheaper.

I think the design is pretty good overall but I’m struggling with the Beluga snout.

You know what real ly impresses me? That the camera a ngles are almost exactly the same here.

I actually thought the first photo was comparing the Supra with the GT 86, which makes me think that the latter should just be referred to as the Celica.
Also, it’s shows you how little I’ve cared about the new Supra.
Pretty? Yes.
Did it take as long to bring to market li ke the LF-A? Thankfully, no?
Is it too much BMW and not enough Toyota? Fuck yeah, and it kinda pisses me off.
Since I'm not their target market, the best that I can hope for is that Nissan gets off their asses and bring the masses an all new Z.

Like the C7 Corvette, it’s not beautiful, but it’s striking, and it will break necks once it hits roads.

The rear 3/4 view is especially nice.

I like both of the designs (except for the front end on both) but the curvy shaping works better on the FT1 because the proportions look more exotic.

It’s as faithful to the original concept as anyone could reasonably expect.

Everyone’s whining about how awesome the concept looked and I’m rolling my eyes. The concept had just one requirement: to look like it kinda fits a human. A real car has to actually be a car and work for real people, while meeting global safety standards.

I agree. I only wish they didn’t put a hole in the nose.

I don’t know, from engineer interviews it seems like Toyota had a say in determining the initial envelope, and a pretty free hand in terms of design, chassis tuning, and drivetrain programming. Seems like a pretty solid Supra from all indications. I’m not sure what a realistic alternative would be ... a Camry V6?

I don’t really dig the faux-F1 front end, but the rest of the car looks good.

Ooohh I didn't realize how much sharper, better and well proportioned the concept was till now.

A 2JZ successor?
